BIO

Denise Torrance obtained her BFA from the prestigious Columbus College of Art & Design majoring in Illustration with concentrations in fine art and photography.  Denise is originally from New York and lives and works in Pineville, North Carolina where she co-founded Gallery 237, a gallery which represented over 100 regional artists and later became a founding member, as well as a Board Member and fine arts instructor of the Civic & Cultural Arts Center of Pineville, a non-profit all volunteer arts organization and Lead Artist of Baumgarten Studio, a family-oriented art collective specializing in Fine Art Installations.  Denise is an accomplished international artist who has mosaics and silk paintings in public and private art collections throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, Chicago, New York, Liznjan, Croatia, Ireland, Romania and Berlin, Germany.  Denise is a two time ASC Regional Artist Project Grant recipient, ArtPop Billboard Artist, and ASC Community Supported Art Program Artist.  Denise is a STEAM advocate and is actively engaged in community and charity events.
